NumberSense Teacher Guide (making sense of NumberSense): Prompts, Strategies & Solutions for teachers
We are in the process of compiling a hands-on, practical resource to support teachers in understanding and implementing the NumberSense activities. Our planning process and timeline is as follows:
- September 2025: A sample Teacher Guide for the term 4 workbooks for each grade (Grade R- Grade 7). We are distributing these among our ‘champion’ schools for their pilot and feedback.
If you would like to be part of this pilot, please email info@NumberSense.co.za by the end of August 2025.
- October 2025: A sample Teacher Guide for the term 1 workbooks for each grade (Grade R- Grade 7). These will be explore during our Term 4 workshops. Please see the Events tab for further detail.
- 2026: Based on the pilot and workshop feedback, we will plan the next step of the Teacher Guide production. For now, our vision is to have one Teacher Guide for each grade that contains the prompts, strategies and solutions for each workbook for that grade, as well as other relevant support material.
