Brombacher and Associates (Aarnout Brombacher) is presenting a one-day workshop for Foundation Phase Numeracy and Intermediate Phase Mathematics teachers on The role and development of manipulating number skills (mental arithmetic) in the NumberSense classroom. 

In this workshop we will explore:

  • The role of routine in structuring learning in a NumberSense classroom.
  • Effective, research-based manipulating number routines for developing fluent and flexible calculating skills.
  • Understanding, applying and reasoning with number facts when manipulating numbers.
  • Using the NumberSense manipulating number routines effectively.
