Making the most of the Number Sense workbooks workshop
We are pleased to announce that we are holding workshops in Cape Town and Johannesburg in November. Aarnout Brombacher is presenting a one day workshop for Foundation and Intermediate Phase teachers on how to make the most of the Number Sense Workbooks in their classes.
The Making the most of the Number Sense workbooks workshop is for teachers who are familiar with the Number Sense Workbook Series. If you already use the Number Sense workbooks or are thinking about using them – this workshop is for you!
The workshop will cover the following topics:
Different ways in which the workbooks can be used to support students in the effective development of mathematical skills.
The relationship between the workbooks and the curriculum.
Developing an assessment programme using the workbooks.
Marking the workbooks and managing the load.
Supporting the development of age appropriate calculation strategies.
The cost per participant is R350,00 (VAT inclusive). This covers: 2 × teas, a light finger lunch AND one set of Number Sense Workbooks (4 workbooks) for the grade that the participating teacher teaches.
The workshops will run from 08:30 to 15:30.
