User Group Conference
The 2020 NumberSense User Group Conference will take place on 22 and 23 May 2020 at The Vineyard, Newlands, Cape Town. Online early bird registrations are open. We are finalising the programme detail and you can look forward to some changes in this year’s Conference offering. We have planned in response to the feedback from last year, and will have this detail ready by the end of January 2020. More information to follow.
NumberSense App
Progress with the NumberSense Workbook App is good. We anticipate that all of NumberSense Workbooks 2 to 12 will be available from the end of January. We will send an email to inform you when these electronic versions of the book become available.
NumberSense Workbook Teacher Guides
We have prioritized the redevelopment of the Workbook Teacher Guides as an activity for 2020. We anticipate launching the redeveloped guides at the User Group Conference in May.
NumberSense Mathematics Diagnostic Assessment
We are reviewing the student data from the assessments conducted during the course of 2019. We anticipate the updated instrument being available from March 2020. Please monitor the User Support tab for announcements in this regard.
Intermediate Phase support videos
We have made a series of videos which demonstrate the teacher’s role in the classroom management of the different pages in the Intermediate Phase Workbooks. These videos are being finalised and should be available on the User Support by mid-February. It is anticipated that schools will be able to use these as part of their in-house staff development activities.
Thank as always for your ongoing support to the NumberSense Mathematics Programme, we look forward to working with you through 2020.
